Transforming child welfare together

We're a community that puts lived experience at the center of child welfare transformation

Why we're here

Learning. Collaboration. Feedback.

It can be lonely and frustrating to try and make change in the child welfare system. And it's even more difficult to work in a vacuum, without the voices of lived experience, or have lived experience, and feel tokenized or ignored.

#hackfostercare is on a mission to change this. In our friendly community, you'll meet other policymakers, technologists, advocates, social workers, caregivers, young people that are working to transform the child welfare system, and work together to achieve your goals.

From our group discussions, you'll give each other the energy, feedback, and tools to make systems change in child welfare.

Hey there!

I'm Sixto, and I'm the founder of Think of Us. I've created this platform as an antidote to the things we're all too familiar with in child welfare: silos, duplication, power differentials, tokenization, and burn out. This is a space where we share successes and challenges without judgement. Where collaboration is the norm. And where we center lived experience at every step.
